Junco camping quilt
The Junco is a traditional camping quilt. The insulation on the underside of a sleep system is compressed and has very limited effectiveness. Quilts came about to address this issue by just getting rid of it to save weight. The Junco is my take on this traditional design but incorporating my vertical baffles and a fulldifferential cut. I use two top snaps and one mid strap to keep it in place while you sleep. The strap can be used around the sleeper, around the pad, or unclipped. It is important with any sleep system that it is paired with a sleeping pad rated to similar temperatures. It is especially important with quilts and false bottom bags and it should be noted that pads that utilize empty spaces are generally not suitable for these types of sleep systems.
This should be used with a Waterbear balaclava or can be used with other types of head insulation.
This can be paired with a Merganser overbag that clips together with it

All sleep systems are 80% overstuffed over the baffle height for dense chambers.Combined with vertical split baffles, there is very little down migration.
